A Legacy of Learning: The Vision of Nawab C. Abdul Hakeem Saheb
Nawab C. Abdul Hakeem Saheb โ a revered philanthropist, distinguished trader, and former Sheriff of Madras โ was among the most respected sons of Melvisharam. With a heart devoted to service and progress, he dreamt of transforming his hometown into a vibrant center of learning that transcended barriers of caste, creed, or class.
In 1918, that noble vision took shape through the founding of the Melvisharam Muslim Educational Society (MMES) โ an institution dedicated to the cause of inclusive and holistic education. What began as a dream over a century ago has since evolved into a dynamic educational force, offering quality instruction from the primary level to higher education.
